Research On The Role Of China In The Innovation Of G20 Mechanism

Asian financial crisis brought about the Group 20 in the end of the 20 th century.Then,the U.S.subprime mortgage crisis also left the global monetary and financial market turmoil,and kept the world economy a serious threatening impact.It has become a realistic and urgent problem for the international community how to survive from the crisis.Because the Group 8,the traditional governance mechanism was playing a weak role,G20 then become a protagonist in the international arena.Having run for ten years,the Ministerial Conference of G20 became the summit meeting in the Washington summit,with the characteristics of non-organization,flexibility,comprehensiveness and coherence,greatly relieving the world economy hit by the crisis.After the Pittsburgh summit,G20 gradually replaced G8 and has become a main forum of global coordination and cooperation and an important dialogue mechanism in the field of international economic governance.G20 group summit has been held for nine sessions by now,which has made outstanding achievements in curbing the spread of the international financial crisis and promoting the recovery of the world economy.However,G20 is facing the transition from crisis management mechanism to long-term governance mechanism in the long-term process.In the process of promoting the reform of the global economic governance system,there are also some legitimacy,effectiveness,representativeness and other difficulties about it increasingly.Traditional security,like extreme poverty,food security,climate change,energy crisis,economic stagnation,terrorism,refugee crisis,regional conflict,etc.and non-traditional security problems appear in turn,which are plaguing the countries for a long time,and they are challenging the G20's reform of mechanism and innovation of system severely,which are huge problems faced and solved by the international community urgently.China,an important founder of the G20,one of the participating countries,the host country of the G20 summit in Hangzhou,is responsible to carry out innovation of roles in the mechanism of G20 in the face of the change of international power structure,establishing an international image of responsible state with Chinese wisdom,contributing to the international community in accordance with its international status,promoting the system of global governance in depth effectively,building a new international political and economic order.This paper is beginning to analyze various difficulties faced by mechanism innovation of G20,and then is summarizing China's role in mechanism innovation of G20,and finally is putting forward Chinese countermeasures to various difficulties in mechanism innovation of G20.
