| Huaibei is a typical coal resources-related city,the weak resource base of which will become the constraints for the development of some important resource-based industry with the depletion of coal resource,leading to “bottleneck constraints” of resources.Thus,the phenomenon that industrial structure is unreasonable and the advantage of leading industry is not obvious is the restraining factor of sustainable development in Huaibei,and the transformation of the city is urgent.Industrial spatial distribution,a very important part of regional economic development,plays a vital role in industrial development,or rather,the overall economic development of an area.The industrial structure that is based on coal exploitation results in Huaibei's specific urban spatial structure that layout of resource is decentralized and the characteristic of urban development that the urban scale is limited and the comprehensive function of the city is weak.At present,with the rapid development of regional economic integration and cooperation represented by metropolis circle,Huaibei city is faced with both opportunities and challenges.This essay,based on regional economics of Marxism and industria economics theory,conducts a comprehensive analysis and discussion on the optimization of industrial structure and economic growth in Huaibei in view of the current economy of the city.Furthermore,approaches to adjustment of industrial structure and spatial layout optimization are also put forward.It is hoped that the research can facilitate the adjustment of industrial structure as well as spatial layout optimization,which will be beneficial to the mutual promotion and healthy development of the new urbanization and the new industrialization.The essay contains seven chapters.The first chapter clarifies research background,research significance,main research questions,research methods,structure and arrangement of the essay,and main idea of the essay.The second chapter focuses on the research status of optimization of industrial spatial structure and economic growth,laying the foundation for the further study.The third chapter analyzes the dynamic evolution of industrial spatial distribution and regional development in Huaibei,development of regional space,the present situation and features of industrial spatial distribution and regional development.In the fourth chapter,SWOT analytical method is used for the further analysis of industrial structure optimization and strategy of economic development in Huaibei on the basis of the analysis of geographical conditions,historical basis and current situation of social and economic development.In the fifth chapter,some measures for Huaibei to become growth pole in northern Anhui are put forward to enhance regional competitiveness as well as influence on northern Anhui and surrounding areas and,at the same time,optimize the industrial structure and spatial structure of Huaibei through the analysis of necessity and significance of Huaibei becoming new growth pole in northern Anhui.The sixth chapter,based on the former analysis and research and the analysis of regional development in Huaibei,Puts forward the principles and countermeasures of regional spatial structure optimization and offers some suggestions on economic development to government for reference according to the theory of regional industrial spatial structure and regional development.The seventh chapter summarizes the research conclusions and implications in industrial structure and regional development of Huaibei,and,in the end,the limitations of this study and the future research directions are discussed. |
