With the gradual advance of the globalization of world economy and the advancement of regional economy,multilateral trade negotiations and bilateral trade negotiations have become the main means to improve multilateral and bilateral trade relations in various countries around the world.The China-Australia FTA,which was formally signed on June 17,2015,is the first high standard free trade agreement between China and the world’s developed agricultural countries.After 10 years of 22 rounds of bilateral negotiations between China and Australia,the issue of agricultural products has always been the focus of both sides.China and Australia are both good at agricultural production and trade in the world,signing of FTA will certainly have a profound impact on the trade of agricultural products between the two countries,so the study of this issue has theoretical and practical significance.The paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,introducing the background of the topic and research significance,domestic and foreign research summary,research content,research methods and major innovation.The second part is the related concept and theoretical basis,mainly introducing the theory of mutual demand,the theory of intra-industry trade,the theory of competitive advantage and the theory of trade creation effect.The third part is the present situation and comparative analysis of agricultural trade between China and Australia.It mainly introduces the present situation and the environment of agricultural trade in China and Australia,and takes the scale,characteristics and trade products of China-Australia agricultural trade as the breakthrough point.comparatively analyzing agricultural product competitive advantage,agricultural product trade intensity and agricultural product trade complementarity.The fourth part is the analysis of the contents and economic effects of the FTA agreement between China and Australia.It mainly introduces the negotiation process and agreement contents of the FTA in China and Australia,especially the relevant provisions on agricultural products,and analyzes the static and dynamic effects of FTA in China and Australia.The fifth part is the influence of China-Australia FTA on the agricultural trade between China and Australia,and introduces the positive and negative effects of China-Australia FTAin agricultural trade on both sides.The sixth part is the countermeasures and suggestions.In view of the impact of China-Australia FTA on the agricultural trade between China and Australia,the author puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions on expanding China’s agricultural exports to Australia,protecting domestic agricultural security and agricultural cooperation between China and Australia.
