With more than 20 years of development,the internet industry has entered into its mature stage since getting into public life in 1994.By the end of December 2016,91 internet enterprises are listed in the domestic and overseas market,their overall market value is about 5.4 trillion RMB.This data shows that China internet industry has been ranked among global advanced level.Talents,as the cornerstone of an enterprise,will be an important competitive edge in future,especially for those technology-driven and innovation-driven internet companies.The internet industry belongs to the light-asset industry,in this business,the core of the competition is the talent contest.With the increasingly sophisticated management in domestic enterprises as well as much fiercer competition on talent retention,more energy has been invested in C&B management(salary and compensation management;compensation and benefit management).Being an important component of C&B system,employee welfare is also one of the key factors in HR development strategy.Compared with the traditional industry,internet enterprises' staff welfare system has its own unique industrial attributes.Therefore,the HR practitioner should focus on the combination of Internet industry and enterprise itself characteristic,when they are setting up the employee welfare system.Based on the above background,the dissertation consists of three parts.The first part mainly analyses the background and significance of this research,clarifies the research methods and objectives,and introduce the definition of related concepts and theories.The second part outlines the current status of employee welfare system in the case of SH Internet Company,and finds out its existing problems.The third part is to work out a flexible employee welfare system for SH Internet Company based on the factors which influence the set-up of its staff benefit system and design methods of flexible benefits,so as to provide a reference for other internet companies.
