Research On The Effect Of Import Trade Structure On The Bias Of Technological Progress

Since the 21st century,there have been more and more concerned about the bias of technological progress and the theoretical and empirical research has supported the fact that technological progress bias exists.This not only changes the assumptions of previous academic research on neutral technological progress and makes it more realistic,but also adds a new perspective to the academic interpretation of some economic phenomena.However,there are still few literatures on the causes of technical progress bias,and most of the existing literatures are based on the developed countries.This paper attempts to use the theoretical and empirical analysis methods to analyze the relationship between China's import trade structure and technological progress bias,from the perspective of the import trade structure to explain China's technological progress bias.The study found that:(1)in the period of 1988-2015,our country's elements of the alternative elasticity between labor and capital is 0.894,on this basis,the calculation of China's technological progress bias overall bias capital and after 2004 technological progress bias volatility significantly increased.(2)The analysis of cointegration equation shows that China's import trade structure has a significant impact on the bias of technological progress.The higher the proportion of technology and capital-intensive products in import trade,the more biased towards the capital of China's technological progress.The greater the proportion of imports from Russia,China's technological progress biased toward the presence of capital inhibition.(3)The empirical results of control variables show that human capital and the factor structure measured by per capital have a positive effect on China's technological progress bias.
