| How to gain the competitive advantage is the core problem of strategic management,utilizing competitive advantage to achieve performance is the purpose of the enterprise.The dynamic capabilities in variable environments,is considered to be the source of competitive advantage,the relationship between dynamic capabilities and enterprise performance has become the focus of the scholars,but there has no consistent conclusion on the relationship between dynamic capabilities and enterprise performance.However,many scholars doubt that there is an indirect relationship between dynamic capabilities and firm performance,and maybe there is a mechanism between them.Since 90s,the business model and business model innovation has become the focus of attention in the academic and practical society.Many scholars described the business model as the value creation logic of enterprise,whic is a great source of competitive advantage.However,with competition becoming more and fiercer,the business model can be imitated and copied;only by constant business model innovation can enterpr:ises maintain their advantages.Since dynamic capabilities and business model innovation both are the sources of competitive advantage,what is the relationship between them?Business model acts as the role of value converter in enterprise,and business model innovation is to make changes in the business model with the times,whether it can become a mediating mechanism between dynamic capabilities and enterprise performance?Few scholars have explored,but that is related to the strategic choice of enterprises on how to acquire competitive advantage.This paper attempts to fill these blanks,which explores the mediating mechanism between dynamic capabilities and enterprise performance,analysing the relationship between dynamic capabilitt and business model innovation,using the business model innovation as the intermediary variable,hoping to open the "black box" betrween dynamic capabilities and enterprise performance,making a preliminary exploration for the future research of business model innovation from the Perspective of dynamic capabilities.Measuring dynamic capabilities in three dimensions capabilities of the sense of environment,resource integration and resource reconfiguration,and measuring the business model innovation with value proposition,value creation,value acquisition innovation.The empirical analysis of this article based on 264 valid questionnaires found that:firstly,between dynamic capabilities is positively related to business model innovation,dynamic capabilities of an enterprise is stronger,business model innovation will be more conducive;the promoting effect of resource reconfiguration capabilities on business model innovation is the.most significant,environmental perception capabilities rank second,positive effect of resource integration capabilities to three dimensions of business model innovation is not significant.Secondly,business model innovation has a significant positive effect on firm performance.Thirdly,dynamic capabilities have a significant positive effect on firm performance.Fourthly,business model innovation plays a partial intermediary role in the process of dynamic capabilities and enterprise performance.Study confirmed the role of dynamic capabilities on the performance of enterprises,using the business model innovation as the intermediary variable,to explore the mechanism between dynamic capabilities and enterprise performance by empirical method,making a certain contribution for the"black box" problem of dynamic capabilities;combining with the dynamic capabilities theory and business model innovation theory to explore the difference of enterprise performance,which develops and perfects the dynamic capabilities theory and business model innovation theory,making a preliminary exploration for the later scholars'researches on dynamic capabilities and business model innovation.The pursuit of profit is the sole purpose of the existence of enterprises,although the dynamic capabilities can improve the performance of enterprises in theory,but the the mechanisms between them is ambiguity,which impediments seriously the application of dynamic capabilities in practice.This study provides some guidance for the enterprise on how to use the dynamic capabilities to enhance the performance and how to achieve business model innovation.The dynamic ability of the enterprise promotes enterprise's performance needing pass through business model innovation,enterprises in the selection of competitive advantage acquisition mode,can enhance the dynamic capabilities,especially the resource reconfiguration capabilities and environmental perception capabilities to drive business model innovation,which could be more likely to promote performance of enterprise compared with direct business model innovation. |
