| Since becoming a member of WTO,the service industry of China strongly develops comparing with other countries.However,in such a good situation,Chinese service industry is still facing many fierce competitions and development deficiencies.While developing our own service trade,foreign government may take advantage of the multilateral trade in service subsidy to develop their service trade rapidly.Therefore,Chinese government and enterprises should be prepare and in-depth study on service trade and subsidies remedies.That is the main reason about writing this essay.The first part of the thesis is the introduction of the concepts and modes on trade in services.The second part lists the articles about service trade subsidies in GATS and researches their shortcuts.In the middle of the thesis,we mainly discuss about the necessity,the development and the future structure of rules on service trade subsidy.Finally,the main contents of the thesis is to propose my own ideas and thoughts for the service trade subsidies in trade remedy rules,to answer a series of questions on taking countervailing measures,and to give some recommendations to Chinese service trade on subsidies and countervailing aspects.The author believes that the future subsidies disciplines on trade in services shall only be applied to those subsidies with distort effects.This thesis researches the existing GATS subsidies disciplines and remedies in a comprehensive and systematic manner and seriously takes into consideration the applicability and feasibility of applying countervailing measures which are definitely unilateral trade remedies into subsidies on trade in services. |
