The Evolvement And Driving Mechanism Of Economic Network Structure In Jiangxi Province

China’s development is the most significant factor that affects Asian and even global economy in 21 st century.With the new century,especially after the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the " One Belt,One Road","Yangtze River Economic Zone","Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cooperation" and other major space strategy.The problem of regional urban agglomeration,county economy and other basic space unit of China’s economic development are widely concerned by the whole society.Jiangxi Province is a soothing space and a tie in the bidirectional pattern of China’s " One Belt,One Road".It’s also an important part of the "Yangtze River Economic Zone","China’s central urban agglomeration".The coordinated development of its economic and social environment is related to the overall development goals.It is the important part of China’s new regional economic structure,the expansion of growth space and the transformation of new impetus during the transition period.Jiangxi’s cultural atmosphere,ecological environment,resources and environment carrying capacity are superior since ancient time,which allow it to be an important economic,social and cultural center area in the south of the Yangtze River with obvious traffic regional advantages.Since the Republic of China Period,however,this advantage of Jiangxi gradually lost;the overall economy,especially the economic development of the counties along the river or lake has been greatly challenged.In the new century,Jiangxi has formulated a set of development strategies to stimulate the growth of economy,which includes 1)differential development of regions(e.g.the Soviet Are in Southern Jiangxi and Nanchang-Jiujiang regional economic integration);2)the geo-economic integration of(e.g.Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone);and 3)regional integration.With the development of new geo-economic elements including high-speed railway,highway network,modern science and technology and economic globalization et al.,the traditional economic spatial structure has changed greatly.It is significant to depict and reveal the evolution of spatial economic structure in Jiangxi and forecast its development,which has important implications for optimizing spatial economic strategy and forming new space for economic growth of Jiangxi.This thesis takes 92 county-administrative-distracts as the study units and utilizes social network analysis and Ucinet platform in the research.Modern transportation network data of 1990,2000,2010 and 2015 are used for analyzing the evolution process;summarizing the driving mechanism;and forecasting the future of Jiangxi’s spatial economic structure,which has a great benefit for optimizing Jiangxi’seconomic pattern in the county-level unit.Some consolations and discussions are given as follows:(1)With the rapid development of Jiangxi’ transportation accessibility,the spatial economic structure of Jiangxi has upgraded from a single-core mode to a mulit-core mode and gradually formed a multi-core growth poles mode,which makes a perfect match with the implementation of regional difference and geo-economic integration of Jiangxi’s spatial economic structure.At the meanwhile,however,it impeded the joint development of economy in Jiangxi,which shows up as the poor connectivity between the nodes,and the weak marginal role of the region.(2)In this thesis,some macro driving factors such as society,economy,transportation and modern technology are selected for analyzing the driving mechanism of Jiangxi’s spatial economic structure evolution in the county-level unit.The Quadratic Assignment Procedure(QAR)correlation analysis demonstrates,over the past 25,the evolution of Jiangxi’s spatial economic structure is years impacted by the agglomeration and diffusion of social factors;the upgrade of the industrial structure of economy;the falling cost of transportation;the globalization of economy and technology;and the policy-related government support et al.(3)Considering the current spatial development characteristics of Jiangxi and the trend of agglomeration-diffusion in the future,this paper reorganized Jiangxi’s spatial structure of urban system and proposed three strategies for spatial integration:1)conducting the coordinated development of “North-Central-South” areas of Jiangxi;2)enhancing the urban-development ability and narrowing the regional and urban development gap to form the following spatial structure: "one core,one belt,two wings,two groups";3)preforming county-level hierarchical.
