Abstract/Summary:
The rapid development of rural economy and society leads to more and more problems of resources and environment,agro-industrial symbiotic eco-industrial park could make more efficient use of resources in rural areas,improve the rural environment pollution,increase the level of farmers’ technology,and promote agricultural industrialization.The symbiotic behaviors of the farmers,enterprise,government and other participants in the agro-industrial symbiotic eco-industrial park decide wether the system can develop efficiently and environmentally."Symbiosis" refers to the products and waste exchange in the system,and wether the participants in the system is willing to participate in the exchange is very important of the built of the symbiotic system.Therefore,it is necessary to simulate the the participants’ behavior for the construction of the symbiotic system.Thus,in this paper,combining with the basic knowledge of industrial ecology and the characteristics of industrial symbiosis,using the Agent-based modeling and simulation method,we are going to explore the participants’ behavior in the agro-industrial symbiotic system influence on the development of the agro-industrial symbiotic eco-industrial park.Based on the basic knowledge of industrial ecology,the concept of’ industrial symbiosis and the principle of the agro-industrial symbiotic eco-industrial park construction,this paper sets up an agro-industrial symbiotic eco-industrial park model combined with "enterprise&farmers" materials and energy,which integrated agricultural cultivation,agricultural products processing,waste recycling.Using the Agent-based modeling and simulation method to build the framework model of agro-industrial symbiotic eco-industrial park and waste exchange,the paper discuss the participants’behavior in the agro-industrial symbiotic system influence on the development of the agro-industrial symbiotic eco-industrial park from economic benefits aspect,environmental benefits aspect and social benefits aspect.The simulation results show that,the total value,total profit and symbiotic enterprise value in the park keep growing until smooth,along with significant increase when symbiosis enterprises join in;waste utilization grows rapidly after symbiosis enterprises join in,the amount of pesticide and chemical fertilizer use reduced gradually,usage of organic fertilizer increased,COD emissions gradually diminished;ecological planting proportion of farmers increase shows that more and more farmers choose ecological cultivation path.Analysis of simulation results conclude that the participants’product and waste exchange not only make the park value increases,but also resource the waste effectively,save a lot of raw materials,bring better economic benefits for the park.The comprehensive utilization of waste reduces the waste emissions in the parkand the pollution of the environment effectively.Ecological planting in the park to reduce the pesticide use and chemical fertilizer use and increase organic fertilizer use,contribute to reduce agricultural pollution.The expansion of the enterprise group in the park not only creates more jobs,but also makes more farmers choose ecological planting path.In this way,the social benefits of the park are improved.In a word,symbiotic behaviors between farmers and enterprise in agro-industrial symbiotic eco-industrial park improve economic benefits,environmental benefits and social benefits in the system,then lead the system develop efficiently and environmentally.Finally,the paper summarizes the challenge for the park and gives management policy suggestions based on the simulation analysis.
