As part of world economy,Japan is so special and important that both of its development miracle and failure last century should be studied comprehensively.Considering the similarity of the economies and development paths of China and Japan,we hope finding the conditions that contribute to Japan's development and failure, which may be helpful to analyze how the developing can make a great leap in their economies,or update their industrial structures better.Benefitting from the export-oriented strategy,Japan recovered from the failure station of World War II very quickly, and became the second powerful capitalist economy in 1960 s.It would offer benefit if we study the reasons that contribute to Japan's success, because Japan's success implies that even the poorest and smallest country can complete industrialization, and not being bounded by its poor inner conditions. On the other hand,we should make it clear that export can not only bring advantages, but also disadvantages, such as trade conflicts and asset bubbles. This article first introduces the significance of the export-scale in small countries' development with historical data and economic mode, and stresses the advantageous conditions for Japan's export-oriented strategy. There are three steps of Japan's export orientation strategy,first,1945 to 1955,recovery from the war;second,1955 to 1974,high speed development;third,1974 to 1990,low speed development. In chapter fifth,we introduce impact of the export-oriented strategy to Japan. In the statistic part,we use the export data from Japan to Asia to do linear regression analysis and use 8 home market size factors and 3 international market factors to do multiple linear regression analysis to capital productivity. It shows that the correlation between the export data and capital productivity is positive and the factors of home market have negative effect, while the factors of international market is positive, which means that Japan's economy had benefited from the export-oriented strategy.
