| With the development of urbanization, a large number of rural surplus labor transfer to the city or obtain employment in the non-agricultural industries. According to monitoring survey of the National Bureau of Investigation, The total number of migrant s is 166 million in 2013, accounting for 43% of the total urban employment. Our urbanization rate also rose from 17.92 percent in 1978 to around 52. 54 percent in 2012.However, the labor market is deregulated, while the household registering system reform is still needed. Due to the lag of the household registration system, only the labor force choose to migrate in the process of urbanization, which result in the distortion the population structure and economic structure,economic development is also restricted.Since 2000, the consumption rate of residents continued to decline, The question of how to expand domestic demand to promote economic growth has become the concern of academia.Citizenization of migrant workers is an effective way to expand domestic demand.Therefore, a better understanding of migrants’ consumer behavior has important theoretical and practical significance.We analyze the consumer behavior of urban households and migrant families to study the consumption differential, taking the heterogeneity of the different groups into consideration, focusing on the consumer income elasticity of migrants and urban population, put forward ideas and policy recommendations to enhance the population consumption.Provide a theoretical basis for urbanization and issues of expanding domestic demand. According to the logical framework of this article, it is divided into four parts:The first part is introduction. Introduce the background and significance, research trends, research ideas, the main methods and innovation and shortcomings of this study.The second part is mainly introduce the theoretical basis.
