With the popularization of mobile smart phones and the improvement of the technology of the mobile Internet,the mobile terminal App has been rapidly developed,especially based on Applications such as Location Based Service(LBS)and Geographic Information System(GIS).Based on this background,the three-dimensional virtual campus is also gradually moving toward moving,which breaks the limitations of delivering information by photo displaying or text description of the traditional campus Website.Through convenient and intelligent terminals,teachers and students as well as staff outside the school can intuitively and quickly understand the distribution space and the geographical location of buildings in various departments and administrative departments in the campus.Therefore,the combination of mobile communication technology,geographic information technology and virtual reality technology to realize the mobile virtual three-dimensional campus is a development direction in the future.This paper describes the design and implementation of the mobile-based three-dimensional virtual campus system.The system is divided into two parts,the server and client,the main work is as follows:(1)On the server side,using 3DS Max to build and render the campus 3D model.The ArcGIS platform is used to create a three-dimensional campus map,which realizes the management of spatial data,the layer establishment,etc.and releases the 3D map service.(2)On the mobile client,using MUI framework and HTML5+ combined with ArcGIS API for JavaScript to build Web App and achieve the three-dimensional campus map browsing,roaming,query positioning,spatial data analysis and other functions,and also can be cross-platform operation.(3)In order to enable mobile client to quickly load the information of 3D campus,this paper studies the 3D map tile service in detail,and uses the pyramid model to store the map tile on the server side to implement map pre-caching.On the client side,the local file caching mechanism is used to determine the local caching of the requested tile by analyzing the processing of the request.And the design of hybrid cache on the server and the client ensures that the client quickly loads and browses the three-dimensional map.
