Wireless multi-hop network is a kind of wireless network that is self-organizing by mobile nodes and has the characteristics of self-organization,distribution and dynamism without pre-existing communication infrastructures. The data packets in the network can be relayed via the intermediate node before reaching the destination.Due to these features, wireless multi-hop networks have attracted the attention of many researchers in recent years and are applied to many fields such as military communications, disaster management and emergency services where the telecommunications infrastructure is easily damaged. One of the main challenges of wireless multi-hop networks is how to safely and efficiently transmit data packets. The limited energy and open transport channels make the network vulnerable to security and energy consumption challenges.A typical multi-hop network collects and processes node data at the edge of the network in a distributed and collaborative manner through the cooperation of nodes. Therefore, routing protocols are crucial for data transmission in wireless networks. In response to the above problems, this paper presents a secure and efficient random multi-path routing protocol based on the Markov state transition theory.Random selection of the transmission path makes the traditional attacks such as interference and interception difficult to achieve, thus ensuring the security of data transmission.Meanwhile, the protocol can reduce the overall energy consumption of the network and balance the load according to the residual energy of each path. The performance simulation and analysis results show that the routing protocol proposed in this paper has significant performance improvement in terms of energy consumption, transmission delay, information transmission capacity and security.
