The newspaper of publication industry,which is a special part in the whole newspaper ecology,is an important reference for readers that want to get book publishing information.In addition,it is an invaluable database for publishing industry because of recording the development and changes of China's publishing industry.At present,the circulation and advertising share of newspapers have generally fallen but the price of paper has been rising.As the information viewer,communicator and feed-backer of the book publishing industry,however,the development of publishing industry newspaper is rarely concerned.This study has done research on publishing industry newspapers,defined their development stages,and combed the development process of each stage for the first time.The research wants to fill gaps in academic research and provides reference for the transformation and development of publishing industry newspapers.This study takes three major newspapers of publication industry—China Publishing & Media Journal,China Publishing Today,and China Press Publication Radio Film and Television Journal as examples to analyze the development of these three newspapers from editorial concept,contents and management philosophy.This study want to explore the newspaper how to develop the strong points and avoid the weak points,open up new blue oceans,extend the industrial chain,and then realize transformation and development in the new media environment.This study finds that although the development trend of publishing industry newspapers is currently stable,publishing industry newspapers still face many challenges due to changes in the media environment.For example,the newspapers are lack of talents who understand both publishing news and technology,do not adapting to users' new reading habits in news content,do not effectively attracting advertisers on the online platform,and are facing users distributed by other media and platforms.This study believes that it is possible to expand the cultivation of expert and convergent reporters,and create columns and build platform-based media to attract users who have a surplus in publishing to generate professional content.Meantime,it is important to adapt to users' needs in news texts and formats,and interact with users continually to develop social economy.In addition,online and offline channels need to be used effectively to promote the distribution of newspapers,increase the scope of newspaper business,expand brand influence,and achieve value increment in content,advertising and other aspects.
