"Monitoring" Weekly "specialism" Column Research

The Observation Weekly(1946.9 ~ 1948.11)is known as "the Voice of China's 100-year History of Speech" and is one of China's most influential periodicals in the 1940 s.The Observation Weekly is famous for its views,"monograph" column is the main components and important characteristics of Observation Weekly and it's also the salvage point for scholars to study the Observation Weekly.In the era of rapid and turbulent social change in China,the birth of "monograph" column provided a compatible platform for a large number of free intellectuals who wished to participate in the country's political life through public opinion.The intellectual elites with various tendencies toward the left,center and right are gathered together as "copywriters".They observe the livelihood of the people,comment on their national affairs,and guide the youth.They express their positive expectations and propositions for the future development of the nation in a positive and sincere manner.This article tries to study from the content of "monograph" column,which is divided into three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.Through the method of textual analysis,try to analyze the tendency of the topic,the focus of the comment,main thought,the style of writing,and the reason of success under the background of specific times,in order to restore the whole original appearance of "monograph" column,and make a fair judgment on its position and contribution in the history of news commentary.
