The Third Generation Partnership Project introduces the femtocell technology into the LTE-A(Long Term Evolution Advanced)network architecture for enabling deep coverage of the signal and improving the quality of service for indoor users. However, with the rapid increase in the number of mobile users, resource allocation and interference control issues are becoming two major challenges in femtocell networks. On the one hand, achieving much more revenue with the limited resource is the main consideration of mobile operators. On the other hand, for all of network participants, their concern is how to adjust the transmission power to save energy and reduce the effect of interference.Firstly, this paper proposes a pricing framework to investigate the spectrum allocation in heterogeneous networks with single macrocell base station(MBS)and multiple femtocell base stations(FBSs).We modeled the allocation procedure between the MBS and FBSs as a leasing auction. All FBSs act as the bidders, and the monopolist MBS acts as the auctioneer. In the auction,FBSs submit their bids to rent the spectrum resource. The MBS determines the spectrum leasing amount and chooses the winning FBSs by solving the dynamic programming-based 0-1 knapsack problem. In our proposed framework,we focus on the spectrum pricing strategy and revenue maximization of the MBS.The simulation results show that the proposed scheme provides effective motivation for the MBS to lease the spectrum to FBSs,and both the MBS and FBSs can benefit from spectrum leasing. Then, this paper proposes a price-based downlink power control strategy for managing the downlink co-tier interference among FBSs.With the different service requirement and design objectives of MBS and FBSs,different utility functions are adopted for them.A Stackelberg game model is adopted to jointly study the utility maximization of the MBS and FBSs.Existence and uniqueness of the Stackelberg equilibrium are analyzed.Furthermore,to reduce the amount of information exchange,we design a distributed interference pricing and power control algorithm. Finally, simulation results validate the proposed algorithm.
