Recently,emergencies in public spaces have occurred frequently,and resulting in a considerable loss to life and property.Modeling and simulating crowd behaviors has been an active research topic in recent years.The maneuver cannot realistically simulate crowd evacuation under the emergency circumstances.Using computer simulation technology for simulating the crowd evacuation can not only reduce the costing,but also improve efficiency and accuracy.Therefore,adopting computer technology to simulate the crowd evacuation is of significance.In the real world,one's emotion(e.g.,panic,anxiety)often differs from others which are called personality difference.At present,most of crowd animation methods only simulate the emotion of behavior rather than considering the impact of human personality on the emotion.In order to address the above problems,we present a novel crowd evacuation method based on emotion and personality.First,we provide the crowd animation method based on personalized emotional contagion and the method can obtain more realistic crowd animation.Next,we provide a method of emotion contagion for crowd evacuation,and the method can simulate crowd evacuation realistically.Finally,we build cross-platform system for real-time crowd simulation.The main contributions of this paper are summarized as follows:1.We present a crowd animation method based on personalized emotional contagion model.The method is divided into three parts: First,we provide the emotion perception factor and introduce the P-Durupinar model which shows the crowd's diversity effectively.Second,the P-Durupinar model is coupled with the crowd motion.Combined with the reciprocal velocity obstacle,we can simulate the crowd's motion.Finally,the photo-realistic rendering method is employed to obtain the crowd animation results.2.We present a method of emotion contagion for crowd evacuation.First,we combine OCEAN(Openness,Extroversion,Agreeableness,Neuroticism,Conscientiousness)model and SIS(Susceptible Infected Susceptible)model to construct the P-SIS(Personalized SIS)model,and the model shows the diversity of crowd effectively.Second,we couple the P-SIS model with the social force model to simulate emotional contagion on crowd evacuation.Finally,the photo-realistic rendering method is employed to obtain the animation of crowd evacuation.3.We build a simulation system for crowd evacuation.The system uses Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 and the XNA framework to realize the function of three modules: crowd animation,crowd evacuation and the photo-realistic rendering.The crowd animation module is used to obtain the contagion-based crowd animation.The crowd evacuation module mainly simulates the movement of the different individuals.The photo-realistic rendering module imports the path information of the two modules into the photo-realistic rendering platform for obtaining the crowd movement effect.Experimental results show that our method reflects the individual differences in emotional contagion,and can generate more realistic crowd animation.Our method and simulate crowd evacuation realistically also.Therefor the method has guiding significance for crowd evacuation in the emergency circumstances.
