| The popularity of the Internet and the development of media technology have produced a large number of social media services.Weibo is a typical social media in China.Because of its immediacy,fragmentation,and distribution characteristics,people are free to obtain information,express opinions,and share emotions on it.This is also provided opportunities and conditions to explore the emotional contagion through the expression and interaction of Weibo netizens.This study uses the Huawei incident that occurred from May 15 to June 23,2019 as a case study to analyze the text of the opinions expressed by Weibo users in the Huawei incident,combined with interviews with relevant Weibo users,to study their opinions expressed and emotional contagion in the process of interaction,theoretical thinking on the phenomenon of emotional contagion in the context of new media.The Huawei incident itself has a strong emotional appeal,triggering netizens’ attention and discussion while transmitting and sharing emotional states.The forms of opinion expressed and interactive behavior of Weibo netizens are diverse,and their motivations for expression are also different.Through further research,the author divided the stages of emotional contagion into five stages:information perception,opinion formation,opinion reinforcement,emotional accumulation,and emotional reinfection.The factors that affect emotional contagion are in addition to the nature of the issue in the Huawei incident itself,including opinions Selection criteria,individual differences,emotional display,etc.Studies have shown that in the process of emotional contagion,positive emotions are more likely to be infected,and negative comments are the emotional stimulation points that induce netizens to express,emotional disengagement events are transmitted,self-cognition is also strengthened in the debate,and the effect of communication will have "error" and other characteristics.Studying the characteristics of Weibo netizens’ emotional expression and interaction also has important guiding significance for social emotional orientation.In the era of "Value emotions and despise content",emotional infection is a "double-edgedsword." Emotional contagion has its own value connotation,which can produce positive and ideal communication effects;however,in the context of new media,emotional expression and emotional communication also have certain hidden risks,such as the error of emotional communication,"Tailless news" and the emergence of reverse emotions.Based on the value and risk inherent in emotional infection,it also triggers theoretical thinking about emotions and personal behavior,the role of social emotions,and the role of personal emotions in public opinion. |
