Based On The Linux Kernel Android Development Platform, The WiFi Driver Development Port

After the baptism of the third revolution of science and technology,human beings entered into the information age.With the advent of the Internet Era,the communication in different parts of the economic and cultural life is becoming more and more simple,at the same time,the tools for communication changed from extremely unconvenient to carry like personal computers to portable devices such as smartphones,tablets and wearable computing devices.With the increasing trend of this changing world,the reliability and rapidity of communication equipmentis more and more crucial,especially for the growing demand of communication wireless equipment's data transmission capacity,more and more people are not limited to traditional voice message demand.More people hope toshare their experiences in life fun or life state through a variety of social networking sites,followed by a lot of high-resolution images and voice video data,the traditional wireless network obviously cannot meet this need.In the past the traditional Ethernet cable can meet the requirements of high definition video image and voice phone,but it contradicts with the people's requirements of surfing theinternet at anytime and anywhere.So the important task of convenience problems inevitably falls to the wireless communication.This has accelerated the rapid development of wireless network communication,especially in some special field environment.Restricted by the actual construction situation,4G network coverage is limited.In the face of this situation,change the original wired network into wireless WiFi signal which is one of the best way for people to meet the need.WiFi provides a good solution to transfer the wired network to wireless network.It has been developed a portability advantages of reliability,low power consumption.So WiFi also made a irreplaceable position.Under the background of this kind of environment that the WiFi chip manufacturers could notdirectly provide available firmware on different platforms for every customs,we deci ded to transplant the WiFi chip driver.We created the adapter driver package based on ARM processor iTOP – 4412 produced by samsung through the analysis of mediatek's official drive packages.After a lot of experim ents,thedataindicate that the WiFi can exchange large amounts of datanormallyand stability,and maintain a low power consumption.In this paper,the research content mainly includes the following aspects:1,This article is based on samsung iTOP-4412 ARM processor,embedded Linux kernel and android operating system,do some research about WiFi hardware module's application of the chip MT6620 produced by MTK.The implements can access the Internet in WiFi hotspot areasrapidly and realize low consumption of the wireless communication terminal.2,U-boot as the bottom of the Boot and the embedded Linux kernel 3.0.15,Android4.4 as the operating system for migration,this paper expounds the wireless communication terminal software part of the implementation of the underlying platform development transplantation.3,Successly test the android system under normal access wireless hotspot for wireless Internet.Via wireless test shows that the wireless communication terminal can be connected to the Internet in WiFi signal coverage area.Tencent video and other multimedia entertainment software of large amount of data throughput can meet the requirements,and can satisfy the People's Daily life without caton broadcast network videoon the Internet.
