Due to the superiority in reliability,multi-function and self-adaptability,phased array system has been widely used in many fields.As a key component of the whole system,phased array antenna shows excellent performance in fast scanning and fast beamforming.These advantages offer the system good hyperopia,fast scanning and excellent anti-jamming abilities.Accuracy of the antenna pattern simulation can severely impact the system's precision.In this thesis,phased array system modeling,reflector phased array feed(PAF)modeling and large planar array analysis method are studied.Firstly,the working principle of each module of phased array system is analyzed.Then a detailed research is conducted on the voltage model and system noise model of the system.The surface current method is used to model the reflector antenna.The focal plane field analysis and the discus on influence of the feed bias on the radiation pattern are also covered.Then,this thesis puts forward a new large planar array analysis method.This method is based on the concept of infinite array with fast simulation speed and high simulation precision.It is suitable for periodical array of rectangular grating or oblique grating.This method also takes mutual coupling among the elements into consideration and supports arbitrary amplitude or phase excitation.It is a planar array pattern model which satisfies both the accuracy requirement and the real-time requirement of the system.Finally,a general phased array system simulation software is developed,which makes the application of phased array system more intuitive and easy to operate.
