In recent years, with the development of wireless communication technology, antenna as one of the key components in wireless communication system, has become one of the key factors that restrict the performance of communication system. Nowadays, on the one hand with the communication frequency increasing, spectrum resources become more and more nervous. On the other hand, the modern communication equipment is developing in the direction of intelligent, miniaturization and integration. So how to design a high-performance multiband, miniaturized antenna is becoming more and more important.This paper gives emphasis on the designs of multi-band WLAN/WiMAX antennas, and also studies the related method and technology. In this paper we have designed three microstrip antennas that can be applied for WLAN/WiMAX system. The first antenna is a Tri-band monopole antenna that the corresponding center frequency in 2.5GHz,3.5GHz and 5.4GHz.The second antenna is a triple-band CPW-Fed Bow-Tie-Slot-Coupled Antenna. The lastly antenna is a slot antenna that with the trap structure. The antennas are simulated and the measured. The results show that these antennas can satisfy the requirements of WLAN and WiMAX applications.
