In the field of particle physics and nuclear physics research, along with the deepening of the physical exploration and the expanding of detection instruments and equipment, many detection systems need dozens or even thousands of detector working at the same time. They generate a large number of field data which often cannot adopt the way of data collection, storage, and then offline processing. To get effective data and reduce the waste of resources by the invalid data some selection rules is needed. Multi-channel selection coincidence apparatus is one of that rules of the judging, discriminating devices. It can judge the examples effectiveness through their correlation time. Due to the nuclear detected signal is random, transient and nanosecond pulse, multi-channel selection coincidence apparatus is required owing the ability of dealing with nanosecond pulse signal. In this paper I using the analog and digital hybrid technology designed a multi-channel selection coincidence apparatus which can respond to 40-path input signal of nanosecond pulse and judge the number of synchronisation input signal(such as a moment input signal number is1, 2, 3, ect.). And the system's delay shake is less than 1 ns. Input and output signals is Fast NIM standard, facilitating the connection between nuclear instruments.In addition to a huge number of field data, the detection system's another characteristic is to deal with nanosecond width of random, transient pulse signal, so the corresponding narrow pulse signal generator which used as high-speed instrument calibration and debugging equipment also has an irreplaceable role. The more, today's consumer electronics, scientific research and commercial electronic and so on all toward to ultra-high speed and ultra-bandwidth developing, ultra-narrow pulse application's range covers military, communications, medical, imaging and nuclear science and technology, etc. Narrow pulse's generation, transmission and measurement technology is also accompanied by signal bandwidth's increasing.Therefore, this paper designed a two narrow pulse signal generator to accept themulti-channel selection coincidence apparatus' s the performance test require. In the end, narrow pulse signal generator has the following features: it's signal frequency is adjustable; the output standarding is variety(such as Fast NIM, TTL, ECL, PECL,etc.); it can produce pulse pairs that the pulses width and interval between the two pulses can adjustable(the pulses width:300ps-30 ns, the interval:500ps-400ns), which can be used to measure the system's dead time and test the system's response to random events, etc.Combined with multi-channel selection coincidence apparatus and two narrow pulse signal generator, this paper also discussed the experimental research of the narrow pulse transmission characteristic and measurement technology, etc. This knowledge play a important role on high-speed instrument's design, development and debugging.
