Design And Implementation Of Educational Data Mining Service Platform

Educational Data Mining(EDM) refers to extract valuable information from the educational data by making use of data mining methods, which helps researchers or leaders better make decisions and offer service. How to dig out useful information from the educational data and serve for the relevant personnel have profound and practical significance.Based on web and Android terminal end, the platform establishes a suitable "Teachers- Students- Parents" service platform, combining the traditional PC with mobile development technology, to explore a new educational data mining method. Firstly, this paper analyzes the significance of the platform and introduces the related technologies and the overall framework of platforms; Secondly, it describes needs analysis, functional module design and the building of database; Finally, the paper shows that the platform has been designed and tested by using the development program. It summarizes the subject and also presents deficiencies and the next prospect.The platform modules consist of the unified identity authentication system login module, the background data mining module, the information browsing and voice mail module, the information push module and so on. It uses Mysql database to preprocess data sources, clean data. It also explores the source data and then visualizes them by using weka data mining software and shows the results of the analysis to the users.In the process of analyzing data through data mining software, the paper digs out a lot of valuable information using cluster analysis and correlation analysis: graduation correlation analysis, geographic composition analysis, research and information analysis, which has some positive meaning to the related work of teachers and students. Therefore, be real-time, fast and so on, this platform makes it easier for users to communicate and exchange information. Meanwhile it provides a more convenient service platform for school's educational data mining and provides effective support for the school's development strategy.
