With the rapid development of science and technology, the application of Internet technology has affected to every aspect of human life. Since entering the twenty-first Century,mobile living and mobile office has become reality. The popularization of intelligent mobile terminal application and the rapid development of IT technology will affect the food industry inevitably, such as food service. In the place of traditional catering service, ordering process is done manually by a restaurant waiter, which is easy to appear the phenomenon such as the users wait for a long time, and reduce the users' satisfaction, and then have a negative impact on the restaurant brand. The emergence of the Android operating system has injected new vitality to the mobile Internet information era. Most medium-sized, large restaurants adopt mobile phone wireless ordering system in order to adapt to the development of new technology, and accelerate the speed of service as well as improving service quality, which also is applied to the mobile phone client and it advocates the healthy green consumption concept. It is convenient for users' ordering and reduces the operational cost of the restaurant.Firstly, this thesis introduces the research background of the project and the development situation of food service areas. Secondly, we introduce the key technology and theory in this system relate to the thesis, then this thesis gives detailed research and analysis on mobile phone ordering system based on Android operating system. This thesis illustrates the main functions of the system, including system login, order management, table management, menu management,membership management and exit management, and introduces the implementation of methods of these modules.The realization of the technical scheme of the system is adopted as follows: in the client using CLIENT/SERVER model, in the Web server using BROWSER/SERVER model, which is a hybrid structure model. In the implementation stage, we adopted using Google Android as the development platform, and use Eclipse as a development tool, and use Java language development. Mobile phone ordering system includes mobile phone ordering customer and background management. The client is based on Android operating system, and background management is adopted Windows7 operating system and uses BROWSER/SERVER architecture.The client serves as a mobile phone ordering terminal, on the other hand, acts as a management platform of the data acquisition node. The reason for ordering client using Android system is Android operating system has open source, free and adapt to highlight the advantages of various hardware platforms; Windows7 operating system management background use BROWSER/SERVER architecture, based on JSP + WebLogic + Oracle 11 g technology. Thetechnique combination makes management background has cross platform advantages. Technical scheme of this mobile ordering system is open source technology, thus reducing the cost of system effectively.
