As science and technology developing rapidly,it needs people to have more abilities and modern personalities to adapt to the fluky society.We cannot teach the knowledge of books only in education,but also to cultivate students' ability of comprehensive literacy,this requires we keep exploring new teaching ideas and methods.I got a lot of inspiration after glancing over the Canadian high school world history textbook(published by the Rand Mcnally),especially the problems and questions in the book,I decided to take it as the research material combining with the present domestic middle school history class teaching.The topic of this article is 'Research for problem-based learning of Canadian high school world history textbook--taking the introducting question as an example'.It discusses the pattern of problem-based learning in Canadian world history textbook and its enlightenment to the domestic teaching.In the present domestic and foreign literature,the research of 'problem-based learning' has been relatively plenitude.And the research for the application of problem-based learning in history class is also sufficient.While it has yet to begin to research of using the experience of foreign textbook for problem-based learning.Through the research,this paper state that the problem-based learning in Canadian world history textbook is featured of:1.For the background in the import questions,showing history knowledge through the background information of problems,using the situation of stories as clues for the study of the problems,and showing various civilizations for the globalized perspective.2.For question raising,making students be the main body to answer questions,highlighting humanity based on the social life.3.Taking Works of art,pictures and real photos as graphic data.4.Full of classroom discussion,or group discussion,to stimulate students' initiative thinking and expression.5.Develop comprehensive abilities,including the ability of reading and finding information,logical thinking,using historical thinking and historical research methods,knowledge transfer,written and verbal communication,as well as good learning and thinking habits.After a series of experiments,this paper puts forward methods and principles for history teaching in domestic middle school,such as for introduction of class,class activities and homework.It can improve the intuition of classroom teaching by using historical records and materials,make students thinking deeply by discussion.For knowledge learning it can improve the effect of memorization and strengthen the understanding with the background and situation of problems.For comprehensive ability training it can cultivate students' multicultural values by globalized perspective,training students' active thinking habit and take civic education,training them to analysis and solve problem in real life.This article is divided into three chapters of main text and the introduction.The introduction discussed the purpose and significance of topic in this paper,overview and summarize research literature domestic and overseas,as well as research methods and innovation of this article.The first chapter take the 'import questions' of Canadian high school world history textbook(published by Rand Mcnally)as an example to research the problem-based learning method in Canada,including the setting and characteristics of the import questions,and the relationship with the textbook as well as the Canadian high school world history curriculum(Ontario curriculum,for example),and then summarize the characteristics and advantages of the problem-based learning in the Canadian textbook.The second chapter of this article try to put the problem-based leaning in use in domestic class as a experiment,including the translation of the import questions in the Canadian world history textbook,and the rewrite of questions in Chinese history textbook(published by People's Education Press),to infer the prospect and the difficulties of the application.In the last chapter,this paper try to analyze the enlightenment for our teaching practice by the Canadian problem-based leaning,such as for the import before class,class activities and homework,especially the meaning of using this method for reference in the domestic history teaching.
