Abstract/Summary:
In the background of "public entrepreneurship,people’s innovation",makers gradually enter the public view and the makers’ spirit affects more and more people being involved in the innovative practice.Besides,Maker Education is becoming the focus of education researchers.However,literature research shows that in our country,the development of Maker Education in middle and primary schools is still in its infancy.And the related research of how to fully implement Maker Education in middle and primary schools is less.Therefore,in this paper,D primary school in Jiangning District,Nanjing,which is of rich experience and achievements in Maker Education is chosen as the object of the research.Through field observation,interviews and physical collection,from it’s curriculum,teaching organization,resource development and condition guarantee,the basic features and related Supportive factors of Maker Education in D primary school has been analyzed.The paper’s purpose is to fully understand the actual situation of the implementation of creative education in D primary school,in hope of serving as a typical application case of the effective implementation of Maker Education and providing some valuable practical experience.This paper mainly completed the following four aspects:First,conceptual definition and basic research analysis.With extensive collection and study of related literatures,through network retrieval,news and books and other ways to understand the implementation status of Maker Education in primary and secondary schools.Largely defining the concepts like "Maker Education"and "Maker Space",and respectively making a theoretical analysis and elaboration of the concept and function value of Maker Education and the classification and function value of Maker Space.Second,under the Maker Education concept,the exploration and analysis of the implement in D primary school.This part is the core content of this research,through interviews with different roles in the process of education implementation analysis,graphic data collected on the field observation and collation and analysis of graphic data collected by field observation,the features of Maker Education in D Primary School mainly has been systematically described and explanatorily analyzed from the four dimensions---curriculum provision,teaching implementation,resource development,and conditions guarantee.Third,the summary and beneficial enlightenment from the implementation of Maker Education in D Primary School.Based on the in-depth analysis of the implementation of Maker Education in D Primary School,it is concluded that this amazing success is due to a number of contributing factors,such as the physical environment and technical foundation,the excellent Maker staff,the rich variety of course content and the support from all walks of life.Additionally,some problems in the implementation of Maker Education in D Primary School are also reflected,including the rich but non-extraordinary content,the inadequate popularization,the lack of professional teaching staff,the to-be-developed school-based curriculum,etc.Finally,a comprehensive summarization with experience is presented,providing some beneficial enlightenment for the Maker Education implementation in other primary and secondary schools:to develop school features centered with Maker Education;to construct an effective Maker Education mechanism,focusing on the development of replicability;to stress the cultivation of Maker Education talents;to emphasize the popularization and publication of Maker culture to create a favorable environment;and to interact with the off-school Maker Education system to seek common development and establish a three-dimensional ecology;and to adhere to Maker Education.Finally,summary and reflection.By analyzing the current development trend of education,this paper summarizes the advantage of education and the inevitability of its implementation in primary and secondary schools.In addition,the limitations of the research methods are described,and the deficiencies in the research are reflected.
