An Empirical Study On The Influencing Factors Of National College Students' Emotional Support From The Perspective Of "Identity Theory"

Modern society is a complex and multifaceted mosaic structure.In order to coordinate the interaction with such a society,the self has many different roles and has different identities for different roles.Ethnic identity is an important form of multiple social identity owned by individuals,and it means the individual beliefs,attitudes,participation and recognition and recognition of their ethnic identity on specific groups.The ethnic identity has a strong driving force for behavior.It is not only to promote or restrict the individual behavior,determines the internal ethnic cohesion,but the ethnic identity is also related to the interaction and communication between different ethnic groups.The ethnic identity impacts the establishment and the benign operation of the ethnic groups or even harmonious society.This paper's analysis follows the Striker's "identity theory".In the framework of commitment-identity-behavior of this theory,this paper is based on the Chinese national youth social science fund project "The Ethnic Identity's Intergroup Behavior Pattern and Internet Effects of Northwest Muslim college students",which received3703 copies of the survey questionnaire,using the SEM to analyze the factors and impact path of the ethnic preference when Northwest ethic students seek for emotion support.To some extent,this study tests the adaptability of Striker's "identity theory" in the minority college students in Northwest china.This research shows the commitment which reflects the structure of core friends and the individual ethnic identity have an impact on the ethnic preference of college students.When college students find emotion support,they have the ethnic preference.The commitment has two path to impact the people's preference: direct path and indirect path.The social structure formed around individual characters determines the mode of communication.No matter what the respondents' ethnic is,if they have greater stickiness for their ethic,they are more likely to seek emotion support from their ethic.The causality of minority college students is more obvious.A discussion of the findings of this study is: In the realistic social background of Northwest China,ethnic identity has some influence,but its effectiveness is not as important as the theory described.
