In the updating society,with the gradually reform of mathematics new curriculum,the widely application of mathematical knowledge in daily life,and the great promotion in wonderful traditional culture of our country,mathematical cultureand it’s great value catches growing concern and attention in math field.This is an inevitable trend in mathematical education development,and it reflects people’s pursuit in arising their spirit.After collecting and organizing the current achievements about mathematical culture and its presenting in primary school mathematics textbooks at home and abroad,the author found out that the special researches in Jiangsu Education Version primary mathematics textbooks are extremely limited and there aren’t broad research angles now.So,this research chose Sue Version to be the object.Based on the description of mathematical culture and requests and suggestions about how to show it in the elementary school mathematics textbooks which are printed in compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards(2011 edition),this article had the meaning of mathematical culture been restricted to the micro level.First of all,the mathematics culture is analyzed from mathematical propositions,mathematical methods,mathematical problems and mathematical language and so on.Secondly,the author used the way,text analysis,to classify and organize the content of mathematical culture which was covered in three areas,"Do you know ",thinking titles,and problems sets.In addition,with the help of questionnaires,the author collected and analyzed primary school students’ attitude and attendance towards these three areas,and summarized the compiling characteristics of mathematical culture in Sue Version primary mathematics textbooks:mainly using pictures and words to present;paying attention to cohesion in contents;being associated with daily life.Thinking of the original distinct figures of Sue Version,the author drew lessons from mathematical culture’s presentation in other versions,and found out the current deficiencies of Sue Version:mathematical culture is unbalanced in textbooks,and has a less total amount;the overall ways of presenting is stuffless;lacking dating source and the scientific basis;the content is limited and narrow.At the same time,on these deficiencies,the author put forward some proposals to improve:first,increase the sum of mathematical culture selectively;secondly,enrich the ways of presenting;thirdly,mark the source of selected contents;fourthly,expand the scope of mathematical culture contents. |
