The 2011 edition of mathematics curriculum standard for compulsory education clearly points out the necessity of integrating mathematics culture into mathematics teaching.In recent years,the educational value of mathematical culture has become increasingly prominent,but the current situation of integrating mathematical culture into mathematics teaching in Inner Mongolia is not ideal,and the educational value of mathematical culture has not been fully reflected.As a member of the Chinese family,the Mongolian ethnic group has its own unique language,living environment,social customs and cultural background.The Mongolian traditional culture contains a lot of mathematical knowledge,mathematical spirit and mathematical thinking methods.However,the existing mathematics teaching materials have not been well integrated into the excellent traditional culture of Mongolia,and have not taken into account the mathematics learning habits of students in ethnic areas and the environmental background of ethnic culture and ethnic life.At present,the mathematics education level of ethnic minorities in Inner Mongolia is relatively backward.The research shows that in order to implement mathematics education in ethnic areas,we must first study the cultural background of these ethnic groups,so it is very necessary to integrate Mongolian mathematics culture into mathematics teaching.Through the investigation of some schools in six league cities in Inner Mongolia,it is found that the biggest difficulty encountered in the process of integrating Mongolian mathematics culture into mathematics teaching is the lack of reference cases and materials for front-line teachers.This paper explores and introduces the mathematical knowledge and mathematical thinking methods contained in the excellent traditional Mongolian culture from the aspects of life culture,folk inheritance culture,science and technology culture,Mongolian mathematicians and so on.Through the processing of these materials,we developed some teaching cases that can be used for teaching,and carried out actual classroom teaching experiments with the help and support of front-line teachers.The experimental results show that integrating Mongolian mathematics culture into mathematics teaching can help students in the following aspects:(1)Stimulate students' interest in learning mathematics(2)help students understand mathematical knowledge(3)broaden students' horizons(4)cultivate students' mathematical aesthetic ability(5)help students use their learned mathematical knowledge to solve practical problems(6)help students establish a connection between life and mathematical knowledge.Through research and practice results,integrating Mongolian mathematical culture into mathematics teaching can help teachers in the following ways:(1)Improve teachers' mathematical literacy(2)improve mathematics teaching efficiency(3)enrich teachers' classroom teaching(4)promote teachers' professional developmentbased on the research conclusions,The suggestions to integrate Mongolian mathematics culture into mathematics teaching are:(1)Teachers need to improve their Mongolian mathematical literacy(2)Teachers need to constantly improve their awareness of teaching innovation(3)properly add Mongolian mathematics culture to mathematics textbooks(4)build the second classroom of Mongolian mathematics culture.
