| PAT7.4 is a selected subject of Thailand college entrance examination, and it is also the most authoritative Chinese examination which was researched and development by Thailand native scholar.This paper is based on the reading comprehensions which are included in seven PAT7.4 papers ,which are published by Thailand National Education Examination Service Center Official as the research object, and take "A study of Chinese college entrance examination in Thailand PAT7.4 short reading comprehension" as the title. Based on the universal features of short reading comprehension of language testing,the theories which were proposed by Huang Libing and Guo Shujun as the understructure.Starting from the corpus selection and the test writing this two aspects,making a detailed study to the PAT7.4 short reading comprehension,and then summarized the advantages and disadvantages of them. On the other hand, this paper based on the actual situation of the proposition, puts forward some feasible suggestions for the examinee and the candidates.On the arrangement of the chapters , this paper is divided into four chapters, the first chapter introduces the basic situation of PAT7.4, the second chapter is the analysis and conclude of the corpus selection of PAT7.4 short reading comprehension, the third chapter is to analyze and summarize the test writing of PAT7.4 essay reading comprehension, the fourth chapter is to put forward relevant suggestions for the examinee and the candidate from the angle of the proposition.As for the result, three conclusions are drawn in this paper.First, wide range of subjects,large information content,keep up with the times,and doesn't have knowledge errors or logical holes,all of these are the advantage of the corpus of the PAT7.4 short reading comprehension; but there are individual content involve gender discrimination or physical disability discrimination or cultural differences, and the credibility of the descriptive corpus also needs to be improved.Secondly, as for the test writing,the propositional point distribution are reasonable,the forms of the questions are varied,question sets are scientific,options language and layout are standardized and reasonable,the uniqueness of the answer is also guaranteed;however,the propositional should be paid more attention to the alternate use of questions,and the grammar,words of the individual questions and options,the length of the questions and the distribution of the answers should be more reasonable,and then avoiding mutual hints and disputes.Finally,according to shortcomings of the PAT7.4 essay reading comprehension,the author makes suggestions form "Making an examination syllabus"?"Reduce the difficulty appropriately"?"To improve the scientific nature of corpus selection" and "Strengthen the rationality of the paper" to the proposition; And the suggestions for the examinee are mainly based on the PAT7.4 essay reading comprehension propositional law: have some emphasis to the “Social life" "and "health care" these two subjects,"Narrative" and"exposition" these two genres and "detailed questions", "deduction questions" and "subject questions" these three types of questions,and then points out the subjects, genres, types of questions and some answer skills which when the examinee prepare for the exam should be paid attention to.I hope that this paper will have some reference functions to the examinee and the candidate. |
