Research On The Development Of Karate Sports In Sichuan Province

In the beginning of the 1990 s,karate was introduced into China from the folk,and then karate was listed as a national sports program by the State Sports General Administration in 2006.Besides,karate will become one of the sports events in the 2020 Olympic Games.So,karate has entered into a new round of development stage in China.This paper mainly discusses the shortcomings and problems of the karate sport in Sichuan Province in the early stage of its development and puts forward some favorable suggestions for the stable development of karate sport in Sichuan Province by investigating and analyzing the development situation of competitive karate,popular karate and karate in colleges and universities in Sichuan province.The following conclusions are drawn from the investigation:1.Sichuan karate sport development started late and its basic education was weak.Also,its development was uneven.2.The vast majority of karate coaches in Sichuan Province are new karate coaches whose special technical level and professional knowledge level are very low.3.Sichuan high level karate referees are very few.4.Sichuan Province has unique Human cultural resources and Bashu Wushu deep martial arts culture 5.Sichuan karate competitive events are held less and lack of organized experience.6.Sichuan karate athletic talents are not enough,and karate athletic talents reserve is less.7.In Sichuan Province,the vast majority of public karate club has fewer students and its teacher's level is also lower.Meanwhile its promotion activities are not enough.8.The vast majority of colleges and universities in Sichuan province have not yet organized karate projects,and the college karate association has not been established.Of course,karate courses have not been set.At the same time,professional teachers are not enough.In order to make the karate movement developing continuously in Sichuan,the suggestions are made below: 1.To improve the level of management of karate projects in Sichuan Province,a sound and reasonable project management system should be set up.Also,the karate related personnel should unite together and strengthen cooperation,so that karate projects can be developed well and fast in Sichuan Province.2.Take good use of the advantage sport events of Sichuan to improve the development of karate.3.Actively organize Sichuan karate trainers' training courses and improve the karate teachers' professional skills,professional theoretical knowledge and teaching level.4.Actively organize Sichuan karate referee training courses and cultivate excellent karate referee team in Sichuan Province.5.Set up a karate competitive talent reserve mechanism to train karate talent.6.Actively hold karate sports events to accumulate experience and train high level karate practitioners for Sichuan karate tournament organizations.7.Encourage the development of public karate sport in Sichuan Province to be in response to the national fitness strategy.Meanwhile,increase capital investment,improve and perfect the public karate teaching and training places and its hardware facilities and equipment for karate practitioners to provide a good teaching environment.8.Promote the preparation and development of karate sports in colleges and universities and increase the popular range of karate movement.9.Take good use of the new media and the Internet as a platform to enable more people to know karate and understand karate.At the same time,create a good public opinion environment.
