Sports dance is a new kind of art leisure sports, with leisure, entertainment and fashion, It was officially introduced to China in 1984 and become fashionable for a time. After thirty years of vigorous development, the overall level of China’s sports dance has reached the upper reaches of the world level. More and more China players appear in the Sports Dance Top Event - British Blackpool Dance Festival, the level of competition also constantly improving.Britain is the birthplace of ballroom dancing and international dance. In foreign countries, the sports dance has become a common practice, players’ level is relatively high. Throughout the development of sports dance in China, though, as the representative of the individual on the Rumba Dance and Cha-Cha-Cha has reached to the world advanced level, but the overall level is not high and the trend of development is not balanced, regional differences are also larger. Sports dance in China is still a-shortage of talent reserve. As the sports dance in our cnuntry still belongs to the amateur sports project, people who patristic in training are out of the love and persistent pursuit of the sports dance, the high cost of training hindered the work of the class dance enthusiasts to join. At the same time, high level of sports dance coaches or teachers are still in short supply, unable to meet the growing market demand.Although the sports dance has been introduced to China for many years, but still retains the obvious characteristics of western culture, creativity has yet to be improved. At the same time, there are many problems in sports dance, such as lack of promotion of the market, and low popularity. People do not know much about sports dance, and their participation is not very strong. Colleges and universities, dance training institutions, fitness clubs and other places have been carried out sports dance courses, however, in the primary school stage, sports dance courses are relatively small. We need to change the status quo of the upper base and the lower level.Primary school is the key period of basic education, but also the best time to cultivate students’ interests and hobbies. Therefore, sports dance into the campus will be the future development trend of primary school physical education curriculum.This paper takes "Sport Dance" characteristic course of Nanjing Tong Ren primary school as the research object,mainly adopt the literature method,interview method, field survey method, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics, carried on the implementation situation of the elementary school sports dance curriculum,and has extracted the information related to this article.Through the research, the following conclusions are obtained:1. Tong Ren primary school included the sports dance class in"2+2"comprehensive practical activities, and make corresponding curriculum program for the development. There are plenty of teaching resources in Tong Ren primary school,and the develop of sports dance is relatively smooth. Teachers and students group each other, constantly improve the teaching methods and means, in order to create their own brand characteristics. Through the "Students sports learning attitude Checklist’" and "Students sports learning attitude evaluation scale" two scale tests,results show that 86.8% students sports learning attitude are good, 86.7% of the students have a high degree of interest in learning the new project.2. Sports dance courses meet the needs of the current primary and secondary school teaching reform, nurtured the aesthetic values of students, achieve the effect of physical exercise through various ways. Since the school opened the sports dance course, the leadership, teachers, students and parents all pay attention to it. The majority of primary school students are very much like the content of sports dance.3. The rate of parents who the sports support dance curriculum is high, most parents think that their children’s body become straight, figure more beautitul, better coordination and flexibility, self-confidence enhanced, willing to show themselves in front of students and teachers,and make lots of friends after learning sports dance.4. Teachers concerned about the development of sports dance courses in school.Many young teachers took part in the sports dance learning and competition, and enjoying the fun of sports dance. School sports dance atmosphere more and more strong, teachers and students learn together and progress together.5. For Tong Ren primary school is the first primary school open the sports dance courses, and list "sport dance" as its brand, so in this process there will be some problems, such as: lack of teaching schedule, teaching content can be less selective,fewer students take part in sports dance competition and grading and so on. Lastly,"Sports Dance" school-based curriculum has not yet completed compilation.
