To guarantee the right of migrant children to adequate education, the government has made certain policies and taken measures to ensure that there are schools in these cities for them to attend. And now more and more migrant children have successfully entered state-funded schools. And when most migrant children are now ensured the opportunity to be enrolled, whether they can do well at school becomes a new focus of public attention.Their performance in school not only reflects a part of their life in the city, but also concerns their graduation and development in the future.Current available information about migrant children shows that domestic scholars mainly focus on the enrollment issue, educational equality, macroscopic educational systems and integration in city life, and that studies on microscopic aspects especially the school life of migrant children are relatively scarce. This research targets on some migrant students from W Primary School, where the author works,in X District,South Jiangsu,so as to in all respects show their real school life in the city.Through methods of observation, interviews, case studies and so forth, the author looks into the school's general situation, use of different facilities, teacher quality, sources of students and these migrant students' daily life, performance in classes and interpersonal relationships. After analyzing facts, the author summarizes the problems in the way of managing and instructing migrant students'learning as well as the characteristics of their school life such as the complexity and arduousness of their integration in the city and their positive attitude towards education.Aiming at resolving the problems in migrant children's school life, the author has put forward the following suggestions.Firstly, schools should adapt their models of teaching and management to the actual situation and adopt managerial methods that are good for the development of migrant children.Secondly, the government should ensure an adequate amount of teachers and persist in improving relative policies and teacher quality.Thirdly, teachers should help migrant children to develop good study habits.Fourthly, the society, schools, and migrant children's family together should enhance cooperation and communication to provide migrant children with a better educational environment.Migrant children, who come from hundreds of thousands of different families, constitute a special group which appears in certain periods of social development. They are an important part of the labor force in the country's future construction and some of them are going to be permanent city residents. Therefore, the educational issues of migrant children are closely related to the country's future.By studying migrant children's school life and putting forward suggestions, the author sincerely hopes to bring some difference to the education reform for migrant children.
