The art education reform in our country has entered the age of artistic accomplishment.The Guidelines of the National Program for Medium and Long Term Education Reform and Development(2010-2020)put forward new requirements for the education reform in our country.The Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on strengthening and improving education(Document of the State Council 2015 No.71)says: "in recent years,art education has made great progress and plays a vital part in improving the students’ aesthetic and humanistic quality and promoting the all-round development of students.But on the whole,art education is still the weak subject in education.Regional differences should be taken into consideration,especially in rural,remote,poor and ethnic areas.Xinjiang has a large land and many minority groups.Its multi-ethnic and multicultural characteristics are very obvious for a long time.Because of geographical and historical reasons,Xinjiang has become the transfer station of West-East civilization.Various cultures are interacting there.Its vast land,accumulation of time and the force of life......With the change of the times and the development of society,the unique regional culture of Xinjiang should take the essence and discard the dross,keeping pace with the times.Under the influence of globalization and the era of big data,as an important part of Chinese culture,the regional cultures have changed rapidly and some have disappeared.The school art education should shoulder the important responsibility of inheriting cultural heritage of Xinjiang.It is the urge of times.The relationships between culture and school curriculum,between regional culture and school art curriculum are close.So the proceeding of school art curriculum depends much on regional culture.Therefore,the reform of art education should improve the content of Xinjiang regional culture,explore the rich regional culture resources to implement the theme of integration,relying on the diverse curriculum forms to promote the heritage of Xinjiang regional culture in school education.This thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the summary of regional culture and aesthetic consciousness characteristics in Xinjiang and the definition of the meaning of regional culture,according to the following five aspects: geographic ecology and historical landscape,the life and language of minority groups,folk-customs,the religion and the folk arts in Xinjiang.The second chapter analyzes the problems and challenges of the heritage of Xinjiang regional culture,discusses the contradiction between the changes of the times and the regional cultural heritage,and the interaction between Xinjiang regional culture and school art curriculum.The third chapter makes an analysis on the present situation of the art curriculum in Xinjiang to summarize the problems of the Xinjiang regional cultural heritage of school art curriculum,based on the analysis of Xinjiang regional culture art curriculum and the content of regional culture in schools’ art curriculum.The fourth chapter researches into the reform of the school art curriculum from the following five aspects: further enrichment of regional culture in school art curriculum,the link among each phase of studying in art curriculum,the penetration and integration between the regional culture of Xinjiang and other subjects,the selection of Xinjiang regional culture in art curriculum and the organization of regional culture in school art curriculum.And lastly,further thinking about promoting the heritage of Xinjiang regional culture.
