With the development and progress of modern society, more and more people begin to aware the importance of national culture in the present time. National art, as a major part of national culture,plays a crucial role in the inheritance of it. The influence of early childhood education on people's lifelong journey is enlightening as well as far-reaching. Having national art in early childhood education can help cultivate the national culture identity in kindergarten children. For children in their early childhood, the course is the most direct form of education. Based on the above considerations,this article chooses kindergarten curriculum as a major way to carry out national art education objectives in order to foster Chinese national culture identity awareness and culture inheritance.This paper has four parts. The first part is the construction of the objectives of early childhood national art education (ECNAE). Through the analysis of the orientation and philosophy of ECNAE, the objectives are analyzed. Based on the new "outline" in China Early Childhood Education and Bloom's taxonomy of educational goals, the overall goal for ECNAE is classified. Then,a more detailed and age-based objectives is provided. The second part mainly discusses the selection of contents of ECNAE from the perspectives of national art painting, national art handicrafts, and national art works appreciation. The third part is about the ECNAE curriculum pedagogical methods and implementation strategy in kindergarten. Five pedagogical methods are introduced including auditory method,direct procedural experience method, the guided study method, art appreciation method, and practicing method; three implementation strategies are the national art teaching activities,national art class art corner activities, and national art everyday life activities. The last part is about the evaluation of ECNAE curriculum. This part mainly explores the purpose, the subject, the object, and the methods of evaluation in ECNAE.The ultimate goal of this paper is to provide viable ways in constructing national art education curriculum which is suitable for kindergarten children, in order to promote the inheritance and development of the Chinese national culture as well as Chinese overall national culture competence in the world.
