The problem of left behind children in rural areas has a long history in our country.Both the society and the academic circles pay close attention to the healthy growth of the left behind children and the development of personality.But because the living environment has forced the incomplete family structure and the role of parents and other factors on the loss of function of life is in the important stage of growth left-behind children's ability to adapt to the social development and the learning situation has played a great influence.In fact,a considerable number of left behind children may be able to acquire bad habits and develop unhealthy character.Because it can not adapt to the development of society,and even the emergence of deviant social behavior.As a major factor affecting the development of rural left behind children,media literacy has been paid more and more attention by scholars.The object of this paper is to study the left behind children in rural areas.The survey was conducted in three primary schools of compulsory education in TC County,GS province.Firstly,using quantitative method questionnaire investigation,followed by the way of qualitative research interviews with different subjects to communicate,finally according to the survey results,summarizes the status of the medialiteracy of children left in rural areas.That has its own characteristics compared with other social groups,media literacy status of left-behind children in rural areas,such as the media based cognitive level is low,the use of new media media information to create low capacity,low ability and so on.And according to the actual display problems from the aspects of family,school,society and government to discuss and propose solutions,in order to provide help for the future research of rural left-behind children media literacy development.The full text is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is introduction.The origin of the problem and the research status at home and abroad are described.The second chapter is the theoretical basis and research methods.Through the literature review,this paper defines the main concepts involved in this study,and briefly describes the research methods and ideas,as well as the relevant theoretical basis.The third chapter is the investigation of the present situation of rural left behind children's media literacy.By using the method of empirical research and quantitative research,the present situation and background data of the media literacy of rural left behind children in three schools in TC County,GS Province,were investigated.The fourth chapter is about the current situation of rural left behind children's media literacy.With the second chapter of the research and the third chapter of the survey data from the media content,left-behind children's cognitive level,contact five aspects,skills,identification and creative ability of media literacy status summary.The fifth chapter is about the problems and reasons of left behind children's media literacy.It is based on the status quo of the previous chapter and tries to find the reasons from different angles.The sixth chapter is about the strategies of improving the media literacy of left behind children in rural areas.In the light of the existing problems and reasons in the fifth chapter,the author tries to put forward some suggestions from the following four aspects: family,society,school and government.The seventh chapter is conclusion and prospect.The main content of this chapter is the summary of the previous analysis of the progress and deficiencies in the study,and discusses the next step of the research on the media literacy of the left behind children in rural areas according to the development of the status quo.
