With the rapid growth of China's economy,newspapers,magazines,radios, televisions and other media comprised mainly of networking have also been developing dramatically.Medias have made an increasingly important role in people's daily life,only teachers in elementary and middle schools have the excellent information literacy,can they satisfy the needs of courses reform,update the educational conception,optimize the teaching and learning process and improve the quality of education Sound media literacy is an indispensable spiritual element for the teachers in the elementary and middle schools.Utilizing the methodology of literature analysis and questionnaire,firstly,the paper introduced the general situation of the media literacy and the media literacy education.The research carried on the questionnaires randomly towards the teachers in elementary and middle schools in Suzhou.The current statistical situation of their media literacy was drawn from the valid data.The existing problems which need more improvement lies mainly in the following:deficiency in the fundamental knowledge of media,misuse of the media and problems concerning the media awareness;The author has drawn three dealing tactics in view of theory of use and satisfaction,theory of information processing and societal environment.At final author points out the out comes as well as the deficiencies of this study,suggests other respects deserving further studies.
