With the start of a new round of curriculum reform,many scholars have illustrated the theories of the basic principles,procedures and techniques of the performance assessment which are mature already and being applied into practice in all kinds of subjects by teachers at front line.On the basis of previous studies,with the means of the analysis of the Shanghai College Entrance Examination and the teaching material of Shanghai the second curriculum reform,along with personal teaching practice,this research is about the application of high school argumentative writing performance assessment,and going to provide new strategies of teaching,explore new methods of assessment as well as promote the process assessment during writing teaching.This thesis is consisted of three chapters.The first chapter discusses the value of applying the performance assessment to the argumentative writing of senior high school.When looking back on the history of Chinese argumentative writing evaluation in senior high school,and analyzing the reasons of the writing score swing,it is found that a more comprehensive evaluation method is required for the senior high school argumentative writing teaching.The performance assessment methods can meet the needs of the Chinese New Curriculum Reform in the teaching of high school argumentative writing.Thus,it can be seen that the performance assessment can be used as a strategy of high school argumentative writing teaching.The second chapter discusses the designed scale table of the high school argumentative writing performance assessment.Firstly,establishing the basic design principles.That is,the coherence of designed assessment scale table and curriculum standards and it's designed based on the Shanghai College Entrance Examination scoring criteria.Secondly,explaining the scoring rules and processes of the assessment scale table.The assessment subjects can be the combination of students,teachers and parents with the purpose of increasing the reliability.The scale table should be designed group of teachers and with the participation of students,so as to increase the validity.Furthermore,explaining the modification process of the assessment scale table.The third chapter describes the using strategies of the performance assessment scale table in different learning stages of argumentative wring for high school students.This scale table is applicable to the various stages of development of high school argumentative writing.The primary stage is mainly used as the guidance of argumentative writing framework.The intermediate stage includes many subjects,such as improving argumentative writing skill,focusing on the topic review,material use and etc.The advanced stage is to further improve correct self-evaluation and the wiring skills by mastering the comprehensive aspects.After the practice and research,the assessment scale table is processed with strong operability,contributed to guide general students to master the basic skills of argumentative writing,have correctly self-evaluation of writing level,and vary the teaching mode of writing course.
