| Map plays an important role in geography teaching.The main way for students to get map information is visual perception.Then they can forming an image in the brain,and further produce emotion,memory,thinking and other psychological activities,so this paper focuses on the research of high school students map teaching which based on visual psychology.First of all,this paper summarizes and introduces the application of visual psychology in the teaching of maps at home and abroad by reading the literature.The research on the application of visual psychology in map teaching in foreign countries is mainly reflected in three aspects:(2)Pay attention to the visual perception of the way and carrier of different information;(2)pay attention to the cultivation of the ability of map based on students’ visual psychology;(3)attach importance to the relationship between students’ visual psychology and psychological map.The current status of domestic research on the application of visual psychology in the map teaching are as follows:(1)research the start and function of map in geography teaching by visual perception;(2)pay attention to the impact of electronic map on students’ vision and its application in teaching;(3)study the design and effect of map on the students by the cognitive perspective.Thus,both at home and abroad on the application of visual psychology in the map teaching is very seriously.Which in China is mainly studying the design of map from the perspective of cognition,seldom analyzing the effort of map on the teaching and learning process from the angle of visual psychology and how to make better use of visual psychological to explore method of map teaching and learning,or improve the efficiency and quality map teaching and learning.Therefore,firstly,this paper defined the concept of visual psychology and map.That map in the application of visual psychology refers to image information in the map through visual contact,through the analysis of the brain surface finishing,can describe things(such as graphics,color etc.)clearly,and can make certain psychological reaction behavior.The map refers to a certain mathematical rules,the earth or the planet’s natural phenomena and social phenomena through the generalization and symbols drawn in the plane of the graphic.Map using mainly refers to map processing,interpretation and explanation.Secondly,explains the visualpsychological mechanism of map teaching,the students generally used to obtain information through the vision from left to right,from top to bottom and clockwise direction,depending on the area in the upper part of lower than a high degree of attention,the more noticeable than the right,while at the same time the visual organs,eyes get map information first formed in the brain to see the map representation,namely replication,after further formation of image perception,which produce emotional experience,memory,thinking and other mental activities,to associate and imagine the copied map,so that it left a certain degree of change in the brain.Then,on the map application theory is analyzed,mainly for the development of the theory of map cognition theory and the "visual-space" intelligence theory.And also analyzed and summarized the relationship between the visual and mental map application,that(1)visual psychology theory enriches the map processing;(2)the use of visual psychology is to strengthen the communication of map information.This paper also analyzed the influence of visual psychological factors of map application,including the form factors,such as point,line,surface,effects of different colors,dynamic factors and so on.Then through questionnaire survey on preferences,habits and confusion of high school teachers and students,to analyze some problems existing in the application of high school map.(1)There are some deficiencies in the use of teachers’ map in geography teaching:(1)the lack of a proper map,the retouching ability is weak;(2)map display to pay attention to the small,not standardized;(3)leading the students to improve a mental map of consciousness is weak;(2)There are some deficiencies in the use of maps in geography learning:(1)Map enough strong interest in learning;(2)reading the map,the lack of skills;(3)the mental map is fuzzy.Finally,according to these problems,by the principle of visual psychology and map teaching theory,this paper puts forward some policy suggestions for senior high school map application which is based on visual psychology:(1)Enhance the scientific rationality of map processing,strengthening the map content of visual stimuli;(2)Pay attention to the standardization of map rendering and diversity,focusing on the map rendering visual tension;(3)Strengthen the guidance and focus on explaining the map,promoting the transformation of map information dimension.In teaching guide learning,starting from the visual psychology of students,to increase the class map using visual appeal and students’ interest in maps using and learning. |
