High school language textbook for Jiangsu were arranged in special combination pattern, this pattern around a relatively independent cultural topic selection, in-depth study to the students, meet the requirements of the new standard, provides a fertile soil for the implementation of thematic teaching. As a kind of effective reading method of comparative reading method, and special way the arrangement of Jiangsu high school language teaching is adapted. By using the method of comparative reading in Project-Based Learning, which can stimulate students’ interest in learning the language, and improve the learning efficiency. This article aims to combine project teaching method and comparative reading, and using comparative method and case analysis method, to explore the specific application of the method of comparative reading in Project-Based Learning. The article is divided into three parts, and the main content of each part are as follows:The first part, the feasibility of using the method of comparative reading of thematic teaching as the breakthrough point, from the two aspects of the curriculum reform and teaching material arrangement way shows the comparative reading method in the feasibility of using thematic teaching.In the second part, detailed comparative reading method in thematic teaching strategies, which is the focus of this article, this chapter respectively from the point of design principles and the thematic teaching method of comparative reading of the specific implementation of the two aspects are discussed. From the clear comparison reveals and contact Angle, inspire students’ thinking, learning and life experience of comparison points three things that the design requirements, combined with the text in detail the design process. In thematic teaching method of comparative reading of the specific implementation, from contact with each other, and gradually progressive four aspects of Thematic Teaching comparative reading of the implementation method of the expansion particularly.The third part, from three aspects point out that the comparative reading method in the teaching of special function, respectively, to improve teaching efficiency and build effective classroom; stimulate interest in learning, improve teaching methods; to expand your thinking, improve their reading and writing abilities. In addition, it pointed out that the comparative reading method in the use of the process should pay attention to the problem, namely: good classroom "blank", pay attention to the validity of the thematic integrity and students’ reading.
