Justice that has been studied extensively by the predecessors is the universal values in the thousands of years and it can be divided into retributive justice and restorative justice. Retributive justice mainly discussed how to punish perpetrators, while restorative justice mainly concern about how to repair the relationship between perpetrators and victims through compensation or constructive punishment. According to previous studies focusing on the retributive justice field, this study has two purposes:firstly, verify whether the different group sense of belonging would affect subjects' justice choice or not. Secondly, how to implement justice can get a better solution of conflicts and achieve the reconciliation between the two sides. This study includes three parts. Experiment 1 uses one factor (conflict situation: in-group perpetrator/ in-group victim) between subjects design, the dependent variable is a fair degree of punishment. Experiment 2 uses 2 (relative power:the powerful, vulnerable groups) X 2 (group ownership:in-group members, out-group members) between-subjects design, the dependent variable is the type of justice, exploring the differences in the tendency of the justice between different ownership groups. The third experiment uses 2 (justice type:retributive justice, restorative justice) X 2 (group ownership:in-group members, out-group members) between subjects design, the dependent variable is the individual satisfaction of conflict resolution. This study explores the self-satisfaction for conflict resolution, emotional changes and the predictions for the relations between the two sides in the future, when outside groups prefer to refuse rather than accept the justice demands proposed by the in-group members.According to these results, we can get this study's conclusions as follows:First, when the existence of the perpetrators and the victims in a conflict, the perpetrators belonging to the in-group members rather than the out-groups members, the individual will reduce the requirements of justice.Second, if the perpetrators belong to powerful groups and victims belong to vulnerable groups (urban on hawkers, police on civilians), the members outside the abuser groups (vulnerable group) will ask for more (abuser) retributive justice, while not (perpetrators) restorative justice;Third, if the perpetrators belong to vulnerable groups, and victims belong to powerful groups (hawkers on urban, civilians on police), the members within the abuser groups (powerful groups) will ask for more (abuser) restorative justice, while not (perpetrators) retributive justice;Four, when the out-groups prefer to refused rather than accept the demands of the in-groups (perpetrators compensate for the victims while not punitive the perpetrators proposed by the victim), the in-groups members will make more dissatisfaction and negative emotions. At last, the conflict can not be resolved.
