Chinese character teaching plays a very important role in the Chinese education.Chinese characters are the carrier of Chinese culture and the witness of historic civilization.Learning characters contributes to asserting national identity.Character teaching should take up the task of stimulating students to learn Chinese characters and arouse students' recognition,respectation and love for their mother tongue culture.However,there are a lot of problems in the current teaching of Chinese characters.The educators have a single understanding on purpose and function of Chinese characters teaching,pay less attention to it,and lack the depth in the design of teaching content.These problems have seriously affected the effect of characters teaching,which constrains the development of character learning ability and attitude for learning Chinese characters.If things go on like this,what we will face is not only Chinese characters crisis even the crisis of faith and culture.Chinese Character Dictation Competition sponsored by CCTV in July 2013 cultural resonated powerfully in the audience,awakened their inner feelings of national culture.It creates opportunity for students to learn Chinese characters with a good atmosphere.Based on the enlightenment and thinking of Chinese Character Dictation Competition for Chinese characters teaching,This paper tries to explore strategies to improve the teaching of Chinese characters.Besides preface and conclusion,this paper is mainly divided into three parts.The introduction part mainly includes the selected topic reason,the research status,research value,research methods and concepts defined.The frist part introduces the origin and basic situation of the Chinese Character Dictation Competition,mainly including its creative sources and the improvement and completation in the process of organizing the program.On the basis of this,the positive and negative effects of the Chinese Character Dictation Competition on the teaching of Chinese characters are explored.The second part describes the revelation of Chinese Characters Dictation Competition on Chinese character pedagogy which aims to recognize characteristics and functions of Chinese characters and formulate teaching strategies.This section includes four aspects: firstly,to fully understand the complexity of the characters;the second is to develop students' intelligence in teaching Chinese characters;thirdly,to recognize Chinese characters inherent rich cultural and cultivate their native emotion;fourthly,to improve the character culture level of teachers.In the third part,the teaching strategies of Chinese characters from the enlightenment of the Chinese Character Dictation Competition are expounded.This part mainly elaborates in three aspects:one is to combine the features of Chinese characters,making more diverse scientific teaching method for Chinese characters;the second is to identify the starting point of teaching,and develop students' intelligence all-round;the third is the full interpretation of Chinese characters,to feel the beauty of Chinese characters,stimulate the emotion of mother tongue.Finally for the concluding part,summarizes the Chinese dictation assembly under the enlightenment of Chinese characters teaching improvement strategy,through the study of this thesis,hoping to offer some guidance for the current Chinese teaching.
