Labor thought has an important position which can not be ignored in the construction of Marx’s practical philosophy system. However,in both domestic and foreign research, the practical implication of Marx’s labor thought is in a neglected state. This paper holds that Marx’s labor thought has ontological significance, and labor is a practice activity that people generate their own nature and achieve their purpose of self nature. This paper, taking the perspective of practical philosophy as the core, traces back to the origin of Marx’s labor thought, and by demonstrating the internal consistency of the three stages of the development of labor and the historical level of human development, that is,the inevitable way of the original labor and human production, the realization of alienated labor and human nature, the ideal labor and the freedom and emancipation of people in Communist society. Thus,it has the purpose of labor is oneself, the unity of the subject and object of reality, human nature to realize the transcendence of practice, has the fundamental and first position in practice. And through the clarification of Hannah Arendtt and Jürgen Habermas’ s Misreading of Marx’s labor thought in contemporary western philosophy, the practical significance of Marx’s labor thought is explained in a more specific way at the theoretical level, and the essential relevance of the construction of labor into practical philosophy and its historical materialism is expounded.
