The Practice Of Watching: Chinese Documentary Photography And Chinese Art Museum

Knowledge and belief have a great influence on ways of seeing artworks.There willbe no single answer to appreciate even a work of art at China's art museums.So we justfocus on an art form in this article,namely Chinese Documentary Photography.Ways ofseeing this art form are rather complex in China's social and cultural values,especially atChina's art museums,compared with works of FSA in 1930s.In the first section,wediscussed the definition and artistic characters of Chinese Documentary Photography.In the second section,we discussed its social and historical influences.In the thirdsection,we focus on the relationships between Chinese Documentary Photography andChinas famous art museums.At last,we talk about how to evaluate this art form atChina's art museums;and found Chinese Documentary Photography a better ending ifChina's art museums were on the standpoint of history all along.
