The digital photography has developed rapidly and gradually replaces traditional photography nowadays. The latter part of digital technology has greatly promoted the development of photographic arts,meanwhile,it also causes complications to news photography;photojournalism and documentary photography whose purpose are in pursuit of the truth.Photo authenticity has become the focus of the field of documentary photography.When people all focus on issues of synthesis or modification of digital photography,we should also notice that the objective factors which affect the documentary photography are not limited to computer technology.In fact,at the early stage of photography shooting and in the mid-and late editing process, the subjecive judgement of the photographer or image editor would intentionally or unintentionally be embedded in the otherwise objective and neutral documentary photography,resulting in a common phenomenon of distorting the images and affecting peoples'judgement.How to explain these phenomena and give a certain theoretical induction is what this paper wants to study.Montage,prevalently exiting in the arts as an important form of expression and way of thinking,is rish in meaning and significance.At present,the montage theory has done a depth and outstanding research in the field of film.Although it already has a basic theoretical foundation in the field of photography,there is still large space for enrichment and expansion.Photographic montage theories of existing are mainly used for interpretation of some visual phenomena in conceptual photogrphy,surrealism photography and post-modernism photography.As for the other big category in photography fields—documentary photography,the montage theory involves only little in it.However,the issues of whether there is link between them and how to sort out the link are worthy of study.This thesis,using documentary photography as an entry point,combining with exitsting photographic montage theory,learning from some exploration achievements montage has performed in the film,according to the the actual characteristics of photographic images,tries to further enrich and expand the photographic montage theory.On one hand,through the analysis and re-arrangement of existing photographic montage theory,combining with practical examples as well as some notable features montage performed in the film,this thesis improves and develops the photographic montage theory.On the other hand,the thesis presents us the basic rules of expression of documentary photography and also some non-image synthesis-related factors that affect the objectivity and authenticity of documentary photographic images through comparative analysis of news reports and hot spots cases,it also provides a theoretical reference for photographers'objective shooting of documentary photography and also for the combination selecion and publication of photographs through the image editing of print media. |
