Kant's pure apperception is of great significance in the western subjective philosophy.Pure apperception is the self consciousness of the source,it is the same invariable sense of self that can be accompanied by all appearances without being accompanied by any appearance.Knowledge cannot be knowledge without the grasp of pure apperception. It is the premise of all knowledge, and the understanding is the representation of the given object itself through the concept.Pure apperception has two states:when pure apperception is "at ease",it is a logical setting,a holding in the latent state;when pure apperception is applied to the unity of its own reality,it can move through the whole process of cognition. There are two forms of representation: first, intuition; The second is the concept.Objects are given by intuition, objects are thought through concepts. But only these two cognitive components are not enough to form an understanding, also need to be given in the intuitive heteropoly according to consciousness expressed by the concept of integrated, which requires a pure apperception.Pure apperception of the cognitive object is not a thing-in-itself,humans are not relying on intellectual intuition to recognize objects.Pure apperception establishes a transcendental ideality from the logic, and when the perceptual experience is enriched, the empirical object with objective reality is obtained.Kant constructs the object of cognition under the subjective conception of subject,it is equivalent to limit the cognitive object of the phenomenon to the subject's self-consciousness.In this way,we can solve the difficult problem which is between spirit and substance in modern philosophy.
