This is a report on the translation of the 6th Chapter in Part One of Integrating Young Adult Literature Through the Common Core Standards.This chapter analyzes the complexity of three American young literary works from different perspectives by using the three-tiered model of text complexity,putting theory into practice.In the case analysis,based on the huge differences between Chinese and Western cultures,as well as the differences in language convention and ways of expression,the author analyzed the original texts from both vocabulary and sentence patterns in specific contexts,and reasonably applied various translation methods.Furthermore,translation methods and strategies are summarized to accumulate material and experience for English-Chinese translation,and to provide references for translation of such texts.
