From Classic To Modern: The Development Of Psychoanalytic Film Aesthetics

Although the psychoanalytic film theory forming late,but it already has precedents to use the psychoanalysis to create films and interpret films.For example,the deep interpretation of the avant-garde films,can be seen as a kind of psychoanalytic interpretation to some extent.In this paper,from the perspective of psychoanalysis,the thesis summarizes the development track of film creation,and explores the role and embodiment of unconscious complex and instinctive desire in the film,as well as the guiding function of consciousness function.This paper is carding the psychoanalysis and films from the theory,creation and aesthetics three directions.And combing with Christian Metz’s structuralism psychoanalysis film theory,focuses on the creation and viewing angle of description and analysis of the whole film system,in order to provide theoretical guidance and suggestions for the film art creation.
