Xu Bing Art And His Research On Criticism

Xu Bing,in the context of Chinese and Western culture and value standard,is considered as a contemporary artist.He and his works have topicality and value of critical cases' study.This paper divides Xu's installation art works into three parts,which is based on the analyses of Xu Bing's previous works and the artistic criticism about he.Looking though the retrospective of Xu's artisitc criticism,I extracted some concerned arguments.They are counter-traditional statements,considerations of cultural identity,and multi-angles' views.I will give my own perspectives on artistic originalities,post-colonial discourses,and notion of Art for the People.Finally,raising the questions between Xu Bing and the way of Contemporary Art operation.
