Color And Mood

This paper mainly studies the relationship between color and emotion and its application in expressive paintings.The first chapter is a carding of several levels of emotion,and focus on the word “emotion”.Though emotions are transient manifestations of emotional reactions,but they can be delved deeper and arouse people’s emotional resonance.The second chapter mainly summarizes the emergence and development of expressionism,and enumerate three expressionism representative painters’ works of Munch,Kandinsky and Knowlder and the influences their works have on authors’ oil painting works.The third chapter is the key part of this paper.Taking the process of authors’ oil painting works as a clue and proceeding from the tone,the cold and warm colors and the shades,it gives an account of the relationship between color and emotion and its application in the paintings divaricately and specifically.
